9 Stellar Moments from Star Wars Celebration Orlando

By Steven Vagnini

What do you get when you combine the past, present, and future of a galaxy far, far away under one roof? Well, exactly what you might expect: the ultimate Star Wars fan experience! That’s one way to describe Star Wars Celebration, the not-to-miss fan event that most recently took place April 13–16, 2017, in Orlando, Florida. From screenings and behind-the-scenes presentations to announcements, autograph sessions, and a vast, interactive show floor, fans from across the universe reveled in what’s heralded as “Lucasfilm’s love letter to fans.” D23 joined the fun, and in our attempt to come up with just one favorite moment from the four-day extravaganza, we were only able to narrow it down to nine.

Star Wars Celebration Orlando

“40 Years of Star Wars” panel
Talk about a way to kick-start a celebration! In addition to hearing from the announced panelists—Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy, Star Wars Rebels executive producer Dave Filoni, and actors Warwick Davis, Mark Hamill, Hayden Christensen, Ian McDiarmid, Anthony Daniels, Billy Dee Williams, and Peter Mayhew (phew!)—fans and droids alike nearly short-circuited when surprise guests George Lucas and Harrison Ford (making his first-ever appearance at Star Wars Celebration!) took the stage during this entertaining retrospective tribute on Thursday morning. And if that lineup wasn’t enough, a video honoring the late Carrie Fisher in her seminal role as Princess Leia featured a touching montage of the actress reciting her famous “Help me, Obi-Wan Kenobi” speech throughout the years, including on the set of Star Wars: The Last Jedi.

Star Wars Celebration Orlando

Such an emotional tribute could only be followed by the curtain rising on legendary composer John Williams and the Orlando Symphony Orchestra, as they performed the touching “Princess Leia Theme” and other arrangements from the Star Wars score. Throughout this unforgettable moment, it was hard to tell which was louder—the silence of tears or the roar of applause!

Star Wars Celebration Orlando

Fan-centric panels and entertainment
From intergalactic game shows to one-on-one sessions with the brightest Star Wars stars, dozens of panels, presentations, and shows quenched the fandom of attendees throughout the weekend. One of our favorites, “The Making of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story,” offered a fascinating insider’s look at how practical and special effects were achieved in the latest Star Wars feature with filmmakers Rayne Roberts, John Knoll, Doug Chiang, and Matthew Wood. (Did you know that, overall, approximately 30 percent of each scene was constructed in real life, making the effect more convincing when digital elements were added in?) We even saw some incredible footage of a massive LED screen that filmmakers set up to display computer-generated settings and backgrounds, which allowed them to incorporate explosions and lighting in real time during shooting.

Updates on Star Wars-themed lands
These were the updates we were looking for! During the “Star Wars and Disney Parks: A Galaxy in the Making” session, not only did we get to hear from Walt Disney Imagineering creative executive Tom Fitzgerald and actor Anthony Daniels (C-3PO) on the making and evolution of Star Tours, but we also discovered more details on the new Star Wars-themed lands coming to Disneyland Park and Disney’s Hollywood Studios in 2019! A panel of Imagineering and Lucasfilm leaders—including Pablo Hidalgo, Wendy Anderson, Scott Trowbridge, Doug Chiang, Asa Kalama, and Chris Beatty—shared some fascinating details on the lands, which will be set at a mysterious destination somewhere on the Outer Rim, lying on the edge of the Unknown Regions. (Click here to learn more.) To everyone’s delight, new concept art and glimpses at some of the characters we’ll find there were unveiled. Plus, we discovered that the mineral-based planet of Crait, which enticed fans in the Star Wars: The Last Jedi trailer (What was that mysterious red dust coming off of the mysterious ships?), will become part of Star Tours—The Adventures Continue later this year!

Star Wars Celebration Orlando

Star Wars: The Last Jedi presentation
One of the most anticipated sessions of Star Wars Celebration, the Star Wars: The Last Jedi panel did not disappoint! Following a series of viral videos in which he pesters Daisy Ridley (Rey) and other actors for details on the eighth episode in the Star Wars film saga, Josh Gad (naturally) moderated the panel, introducing Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy and The Last Jedi director Rian Johnson—who had spent hours the previous evening greeting fans who were camping overnight at the Orange County Convention Center to make it into the session. After showcasing some fascinating photography of on-location shooting in Ireland, our hosts introduced a star-studded lineup of Ridley, Mark Hamill (Luke Skywalker), John Boyega (Finn), Kelly Marie Tran (who joins Star Wars: The Last Jedi as Rose, a maintenance worker with the Resistance), and even BB-8! While Gad wasn’t successful in hearing all the details he wanted, Ridley shared, “We go deeper into Rey’s story… [She] has a certain expectation as to what she might be getting from Luke and what that might entail. And as a lot of people know, it’s difficult when you meet your heroes because it might not be what you expect.” Itching to decipher more about the film’s plot, the audience shared sounds of shock, surprise, and excitement as the new teaser poster was unveiled and the first trailer for The Last Jedi was screened. You can watch the trailer for yourself here.

Star Wars Celebration Orlando

Merchandise mania
Of course, no Star Wars Celebration would be complete without an amazing lineup of new merchandise offerings, from rows of limited-edition items on the show floor to exciting product reveals from Disney Parks. During the “Disney Parks & Star Wars Merchandise” session, attendees oohed and ahhed over items ranging from brand-new Dooney & Bourke handbags (coming to the Star Wars Half Marathon this month) to the build-your-own Protocol Droid action figures (unveiled last Friday at Disney’s Hollywood Studios). Fashion designer and Star Wars Rebels voice actress Ashley Eckstein even joined the session to unveil brand-new apparel from Her Universe coming to Disney Parks this fall. On the show floor, guests could purchase an array of popular new pieces, including personalized Star Wars name tags, a C1-10P “Chopper” action figure, a Paploo Ewok plush, and all-new pins. (Our favorite is a “sliding” pin in which guests can select who shot first: Han or Greedo.)

Upstairs, the Galaxy Stage erupted with excitement during “The Galaxywide Premiere of Star Wars Battlefront II,” in which award-winning developers offered a first look at the highly-anticipated gaming experience. Taking place between Star Wars Episodes VI and VII, this story was created in partnership with the Lucasfilm Story Group and will feature characters from all eras of the Star Wars timeline. We’ll be excited to see Battlefront II hit store shelves this November!

Star Wars Celebration Orlando

Creative cosplays
From traditional (Chewbacca, Princess Leia, Boba Fett) to mash-up (Muppets dressed as Stormtroopers? Jedi Belle and Merida?), the Force was strong with fans who cosplayed as their favorite Star Wars—and Star Wars-inspired—characters. A reason in and of itself to attend Star Wars Celebration, these impressive and highly detailed costumes turned heads and offered a natural way for diverse fans to connect with each other. Several costuming clubs were also well represented throughout the weekend, including the 501st Legion, Rebel Legion, Mandalorian Mercs, The Dark Empire, and the Saber Guild. (We also had to keep watchful eye for a variety of Astromechs and other homemade droids as they traversed the convention halls.) We shared some of our favorite cosplays on our Twitter and Instagram pages, so be sure to give a ‘like’ to your favorite ones!

Star Wars Rebels season four
A major highlight of the event weekend was the unveiling of the Star Wars Rebels season four trailer, introduced by series executive producer Dave Filoni and a surprise cast of voice actors (Freddie Prinze Jr., Tiya Sircar, Taylor Gray, Steve Blum, and Vanessa Marshall). Filoni announced that the fourth season—which premieres this fall on Disney XD—would be Star Wars Rebels’ final season. He provided hints at what’s in store for the series’ final chapter, including an action-packed storyline following Sabine Wren, Ezra Bridger, and the entire Ghost crew. “We all felt that the time was right and that the characters were at a point where their story, and their destinies, should finally be revealed,” Filoni shared of the reason for concluding the series after this season. “We deeply appreciate all our fans who have journeyed with the Ghost crew, and I promise season four will be like no other.”

Forces of Destiny unveiled
During the “Heroines of Star Wars” panel, audiences celebrated the vital role of women in the Star Wars films, from Leia to Rey. Joining moderator Amy Ratcliffe were Filoni, Ashley Eckstein (Ahsoka Tano), and Tiya Sircar (Sabine Wren) of Star Wars Rebels—plus a surprise appearance by Daisy Ridley! As a highlight of this presentation, attendees discovered more about the recently announced Star Wars Forces of Destiny—a brand new initiative celebrating the inspiring stories and iconic heroes from across the Star Wars universe—including a preview of the upcoming animated short BB-8 Bandits.

Star Wars Celebration Orlando

The Forces of Destiny animated series will be connected to new book releases as well as a line of 11-inch dynamic “Adventure Heroes,” a unique combination of traditional dolls and action figures including Rey, Jyn Erso, and Princess Leia. A panel highlight was watching Ridley, Eckstein, and Sircar receive “Adventure Heroes” of the characters they voice.

Touching tributes
Throughout the weekend, tributes to both actors and fans honored the Star Wars legacy and those who have kept it close to their hearts. During perhaps the most touching panel, “Mark Hamill’s Tribute to Carrie Fisher,” the Star Wars actor shared treasured memories of the late actress, from both on set and their personal lives. “The thing she had about her that no one else could match was she made you feel—when you were in her presence—like you were her best friend,” Hamill shared. “She was so laser-focused on you, so engaging, that it was exhilarating to be around her.” As fans connected with panelists during these emotional moments, they, too, were recognized. In an earlier session Hamill explained, “If it weren’t for you, I wouldn’t be sitting here right now. You’re there for us all the time… I thank you all so much when you think about how we’ve affected and inspired so many people.”

If there’s something a Star Wars fan should leave Celebration with, it’s a sense of appreciation from filmmakers, actors, and fellow enthusiasts for the role they play in keeping the Star Wars universe alive and thriving. Kennedy perhaps summed it up best: “Your passion, your dedication, and your love of Star Wars—you have no idea how that inspires us every single day.”

By Jocelyn Buhlman

We’ve been waiting all season for Dancing with the Stars’ Disney Night, and tonight on ABC (8 p.m. ET), we’ll finally see this season’s stars bring Disney magic to the dance floor. If you’re already on the edge of your seat waiting for this fan-favorite night to begin, we have a special sneak peek just for you! Below are sketches of the costumes all your favorite stars will be wearing tonight as they once again compete for that coveted Mirrorball trophy!

Dancing with the Stars Season 24 Disney night costume sketches

Simone Biles and Sasha Farber
“How Far I’ll Go”

For this contemporary dance that will be performed with live accompaniment by actress Auli’i Cravalho, the voice of Moana, Simone and Sasha’s costumes take inspiration from the movie. Simone will wear a flower in her hair, as Moana (and Auli’i) often do, and her costume will feature a turquoise necklace reminiscent of the one Moana and Gramma Tala wear to protect the heart of Te Fiti. How far will this dynamic Simone and Sasha go? You’ll just have to watch and see!

780w-463h_041317_dancing-with-the-stars-disney-night-10

Erika Jayne and Gleb Savchenko
“Unforgettable”

Erika and Gleb will take the waltz under water with their lovely performance to Sia’s version of “Unforgettable,” from Finding Dory. To match the undersea theme, Erika’s gown is accented with small pearls and a flowing skirt reminiscent of water. Hopefully Erika and Sasha’s waltz will have them “just keep swimming” into the next round of dances!

Dancing with the Stars Season 24 Disney night costume sketches

Rashad Jennings and Emma Slater
“Evermore”

The tale as old as time foxtrots on to your TV screens when Rashad and Emma take to the ballroom to the sounds of this new song from the live-action Beauty and the Beast. To bring this fairy tale to life, Rashad and Emma will be decked out in ballroom finery directly inspired by the film, with Rashad charming us in the Beast’s suit and Emma twirling in Belle’s yellow dress. Last week, Rashad and Emma received the first “10” of the season, and now we’ll see if they can once again cast their magic spell over the judges!

Dancing with the Stars Season 24 Disney night costume sketches

Nancy Kerrigan and Artem Chigvintsev
“That’s How You Know”

Are you ready to be Enchanted by this jazz performance? Nancy will channel her inner Giselle in an outfit inspired by the heroine of Disney’s 2007 film (although we don’t think it will be made out of curtains this time) as she and Artem light up the ballroom with a dance to this fan-favorite song. How will Nancy and Artem know you love them? Make sure to tune in tonight and let them know!

Dancing with the Stars Season 24 Disney night costume sketches

Normani Kordei and Valentin Chmerkovskiy
“I’ll Make a Man Out of You”

Let’s get down to business: We’re excited to see Normani and Val Paso Doble to this beloved song from the animated classic Mulan. While Donny Osmond (no stranger to Dancing with the Stars himself) performs the song live, Normani and Val will dance in daring, armor-inspired costumes. With such bold costumes and live accompaniment, we hope that Normani and Valentin can defeat the Huns (and low scores) with their Paso Doble.

Dancing with the Stars Season 24 Disney night costume sketches

Heather Morris and Maksim Chmerkovskiy
“For the First Time in Forever”

The cold couldn’t bother Heather and Maks anyway, not in these Frozen-inspired costumes for their jazz performance. Heather channels her inner-Anna in a gown complete with a gold-trimmed bodice and a cape with a wearable hood! Maks’ costume prepares him for any surprise snowstorms with fake fur trim along the edges of his ensemble. Will they melt the judges’ hearts? We’ll find out tonight!

Dancing with the Stars Season 24 Disney night costume sketches

David Ross and Lindsay Arnold
“Ride”

Rev up your engines for this jive number to a brand-new song from Cars 3, coming to theaters June 16. David and Lindsay will dance to live accompaniment by ZZ Ward, and will be geared up for speed in their racing suits. Decked out in bright reds and yellows like Lightning McQueen himself, David and Lindsay are ready to race across the ballroom with their quick-footed performance.

Dancing with the Stars Season 24 Disney night costume sketches

Nick Viall and Peta Murgatroyd
“I’ve Got No Strings”

Nick may soon be tying the knot with his fiancée, Vanessa, but for this jazz routine he’ll have no strings on him! Since he’s dancing to the Pinocchio classic, Nick channels our favorite puppet in an ensemble that’s complete with Pinocchio’s hat. And tonight, they’re wishing upon a star for a high score from the judges for their lively routine!

Dancing with the Stars Season 24 Disney night costume sketches

Bonner Bolton and Sharna Burgess
“When Can I See You Again?”

Bonner and Sharna are ready to level up when they tango to this classic from Wreck-It Ralph. Bonner will channel Ralph in his classic overalls, while Sharna adds some sugar to the performance with Vanellope Von Shweetz’ hoodie and pleated skirt. Are you ready to see them again? Because they’re performing tonight, live, on Dancing with the Stars at 8 p.m. ET, on ABC!

New Star Wars-Themed Land Details Revealed at Star Wars Celebration

By Nicole Nalty

During the “Star Wars and Disney Parks: A Galaxy in the Making” panel, creative minds from Lucasfilm and Walt Disney Imagineering shared new details from the upcoming Star Wars-themed lands coming to the Walt Disney World and Disneyland Resorts. Lucasfilm and Walt Disney Imagineering are an out-of-this-galaxy creative combination, as you’ll see in the video presented during the panel (below).

As previously revealed, the Star Wars-themed lands will be never-before-seen planets, and during the panel Star Wars Celebration guests learned that the lands are located somewhere on the Outer Rim, lying on the edge of the Unknown Regions. As our friends at the Disney Parks Blog shared, the village used to be a bustling crossroads along the old sub-lightspeed trade routes, but now with the rise of hyperspace travel, the village’s heavy traffic has declined. The port has become a place for smugglers, rogue traders, and adventurers traveling between the frontier and uncharted space. And it’s a safe-haven for those hoping to avoid the expanding reach of the First Order. Travelers to this village may also encounter unusual characters from across the galaxy, who have traveled here in search of the “no-questions-asked” environment, the availability of exotic supplies, and the population of rogues seeking adventure.

Star Wars-themed lands are set to open in 2019 at both resorts, but stay tuned for more intergalactic updates!

Find Out Which Disney Songs Will Come to Life on Dancing with the Stars’ Disney Night

By Nicole Nalty

We may be biased, but Disney Night is always our favorite week on Dancing with the Stars. This season, the nine remaining couples will take to the floor Disney style next Monday, April 17, beginning at 8 p.m. ET, on ABC! Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Goofy, Donald Duck, and Daisy Duck are getting ready to put on their dancing shoes for the upcoming episode—and keep an eye out for even more Disney animated legends in the ballroom.

The show will welcome back season 19 winner and current host of America’s Funniest Home Videos Alfonso Ribeiro, who will kick off the evening with an original song. Each couple then will take the stage, dancing to Disney songs we know and love, including songs from the live-action Beauty and the Beast, Finding Dory, and Moana. Read on to see which songs each couple is jazzing, jiving, or foxtrotting to—and see who will be taking the stage for live performances of three of the songs!

7 Things to Know About Disney Junior’s Puppy Dog Pals

By Beth Deitchman

If you’re a dog lover, you’re going to love Disney Junior’s new animated series Puppy Dog Pals. And if you don’t consider yourself much of a pet person right now, that’s sure to change when you meet the wide-eyed, fantastic, pug-tastic pair at the heart of this new show. Puppy Dog Pals chronicles the adventures of Bingo and Rolly, the spirited siblings who go on exciting adventures around their backyard and around the world while their owner, Bob, is at work. The series, which debuts today at 10:30 a.m. ET on Disney Channel, is created by comedian Harland Williams (The 7D, RocketMan, Meet the Robinsons). We recently spoke with Williams (pictured below right), who also serves as consulting producer and writer, as well as the voice of Bob; and executive producer Sean Coyle (pictured below left) (Mickey Mouse Clubhouse) about what you should know before you watch.

Puppy Dog Pals

Puppy Dog Pals

1. First and foremost, Puppy Dog Pals is about friendship and family.
The cuddly canines have a devoted owner in Bob, and Williams says that Bingo and Rolly “spice up his life.” Williams chose the name Bob because he saw it as a simple, everyday name that went with the simple, everyday character. And Williams admits, “I love hearing the puppies say it. They think of him as ‘the Bob.’” In addition to “the Bob,” the puppies’ family includes a cat named Hissy. Coyle notes, “Harland has a unique point of view on the world and on family, and I think we really captured the essence of his way of looking at the world. It’s all about fun and silliness and heart and soul and family—all the things that matter.”

2. Bingo and Rolly are actually based on human puppies…
Or, as they’re more widely known, kids! Coyle explains, “When we started to define the characters of Bingo and Rolly, we wanted to treat them as if they were 4-year-old kids, and it was important that we presented their detective work through the eyes of a 3- or 4-year-old. For example, we have an episode coming up later in the season where the Mona Lisa goes missing, and Bingo and Rolly deduce that the greatest painting in the world must be hanging on the greatest wall in the world—so the puppies figure out that they need to go to the Great Wall of China to look for the Mona Lisa.

Puppy Dog Pals

3. The puppies were always, always going to be pugs.
Creator Harland Williams was the devoted owner to his own puppy dog pals, Captain Chili Dog (a Chihuahua) and Fisherman Bob (a rare Korean Jindo), and Coyle has owned a number of rescue dogs, as well. According to Coyle, “It was Harland who decided the dogs needed to be pugs because they’re so weird looking that they’re cute. They’re unconventionally adorable.”

4. Kids will travel the world with the puppies.
Sometimes Bingo and Rolly’s adventures take them around their neighborhood, but sometimes they travel across the globe. Episodes are set in Italy, England, Paris, and China, to name just a few of the locales the globetrotting dogs will visit.

Puppy Dog Pals

5. There’s a lot of humor in Puppy Dog Pals.
The guest cast is packed with comedic and improvisational actors such as Patrick Warburton (Family Guy) as Captain Dog, star of the puppies’ favorite TV show; Jack McBrayer (30 Rock) as Hedgie the Hedgehog; and Cheri Oteri (Saturday Night Live) as Esther Exposition, the dogs’ neighbor. “Disney told me they really wanted to tap the comedy vibe of the show,” Williams says, and he’s brought some of the elements fans love hearing in his standup comedy to the new series. “One of the things that I always try to bring to the table is wordplay, or made-up words that people haven’t heard before—or haven’t heard in a certain order,” he says. “I feel like goofy, silly words resonate with people and stick in their heads.”

6. And there’s almost as much humor in the Puppy Dog Pals recording booth.
Coyle reveals that one of his favorite parts of the recording process is watching actors portray animals. Sniffing, growling, licking, and slurping—in character, no less—is harder than it sounds. “We had an actress who had to play a pig—she actually had to play two different pigs in one episode,” Coyle details, and he recalls her asking whether a snort should sound happy or sad. “Then five minutes go by and we’re comparing different kinds of pig snorts that might work and we remind ourselves, ‘Wow, this is our job,’” he laughs.

Puppy Dog Pals

7. Families can enjoy Puppy Dog Pals together.
The stories contain messages about friendship, creativity, problem-solving, togetherness, and adventure, designed for younger kids, but Coyle—a father of two young children himself—thinks that the rest of the family will watch right alongside them. “We’re hoping it appeals to viewers from age 2 to 85, and that older siblings, parents, and grandparents will have fun watching this as well. We’re having a ton of fun making it.”

D23 Fab Five: Meet This Disney Veteran’s Favorite Disney Dogs (Including Two New Pups!)

By Beth Deitchman

We’ve met a whole litter of adorable Disney dogs over the years, from Lucky in One Hundred and One Dalmatians and Dug in Up, all the way back to the original top dog himself, Pluto. But Disney Junior’s newest series, Puppy Dog Pals, introduces the most darling, “pugtastic” canine cuties we’ve met in quite some time. The series is created by comedian Harland Williams, who you’ve heard in the film Meet the Robinsons and on Disney animated series like The 7D and Jake and the Never Land Pirates; he is also a veteran of numerous TV series and movies, including the Disney release RocketMan (1997).

Like Bob, the devoted pet owner he voices in Puppy Dog Pals, Williams once had his own dynamic doggie duo, a Chihuahua named Captain Chili Dog and a rarer breed—a Jindo—with the moniker Fisherman Bob. Before leaving his house every day, Williams would lay out newspapers for the pair and instruct them to not forget to “do their business.” Puppy Dog Pals was inspired by Williams’ musings about the kinds of adventures—and misadventures—two puppy pals might get into if they really believed they had pressing tasks to accomplish.

Harland Williams

Fun-loving pug brothers Bingo and Rolly have the best of intentions as they try to help Bob or other friends in need—even when they frequently lack best-laid plans—but they face every adventure and problem together. The show emphasizes collaboration and creativity, but Williams promises lots of humor, as well. In addition to stars Issac Ryan Brown (black-ish) as Bingo and Sam Lavagnino (Miles from Tomorrowland) as Rolly, actor Tom Kenny (SpongeBob SquarePants) is a regular cast member, and recurring guest stars include musician Huey Lewis, Patrick Warburton (who provides pre-boarding instructions before Walt Disney Parks and Resorts’ Soarin’ attraction, to name just one of his many comedic roles), Jack McBrayer (30 Rock), and Cheri Oteri (Saturday Night Live).

Bob, Bingo and Rolly

An author and illustrator of several books for young kids, Williams loves making kids laugh and he’s quick to admit that they inspire him, as well. “I used to do a program called ‘Authors in the Schools,’ and I would go to schools and read my books to kids and draw for them. When it came to the question period, kids would put up their hands and I thought they’d ask a question about the artwork or the story, but they’d ask things like, ‘Mr. Williams, do cheeseburgers have jellyfish eyes?’ You can’t write that stuff—only children come up with that stuff,” he says, adding, “What I love about this world [of entertainment for kids] is that it allows me to tap into my childhood and emote, and it kind of lets me stay young forever by thinking like a kid.”

Puppy Dog Pals premieres on Disney Channel on Friday, April 14, with back-to-back episodes beginning at 10:30 a.m. ET. With their big eyes and exuberant personalities, Bingo and Rolly are sure to become two of our new favorite Disney dogs, so we asked Williams to list his preferred pooches as well. Here’s his “Fab Five” Disney dogs:

Rolly

1. Rolly
“I think I might have to say Rolly, right off the bat. He’s such an odd beast—I think he’s the real silly comedy guy of the duo. I love Bingo, too, but Rolly’s kind of my fave.”

Lady and the Tramp

2 and 3. Lady and Tramp
“I love both Lady and the Tramp. I liked that through their troubles and adventures they fell in love. It’s a beautiful story—he’s from the wrong side of the street and she was prim and proper, but it didn’t matter. Once love showed up it didn’t matter where they were from.”

Bolt

4. Bolt
“Bolt looked like my dog, Captain Chili Dog, but was a boy. Bolt looked exactly like her except a little bigger. I remember thinking he looked like a mini-version of my dog—same coloring and everything.”

Spooky Buddies

5. The Spooky Buddies
I actually played the evil wizard in Spooky Buddies. I loved all of those puppies. I played Warwick the warlock who took over the town and the puppies outsmarted me. I had to fly around on a broom—they had me up on a crane about 80 feet up in the air on a wire chasing puppies across the street. It was amazing. They wired a broomstick to my feet, so the sensation of flying through the air on a broomstick is pretty tough to beat. Flying around as a wizard trumps just about everything—it’s surreal.”
