Hang on to your top hats and sailor caps—Disney XD has just announced that they’ve already ordered a second season of Ducktales, making for twice the tales of derring-do, twice the bad- and good-luck tales, and twice the “Woo-oos!”

Annie Award nominee Matt Youngberg (Ben 10: Omniverse) serves as executive producer of DuckTales, with Francisco Angones (Disney XD’s Emmy® Award-nominated Wander Over Yonder) as story editor and co-producer and Sean Jimenez (Disney XD’s Annie Award-winning Gravity Falls) as art director.

Every day they’re out there making DuckTales!

Buttermilk Chocolate Cake

Coming to us straight from The Smokehouse at Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival, savor this indulgent, warm Buttermilk Chocolate Cake with whisky-salted caramel sauce and spiced pecans.

Serves 10

BUTTERMILK CHOCOLATE CAKE
1/3 cup canola oil
1 large egg
1 cup sour cream
1/2 cup buttermilk
1 cup, 2 tablespoons sugar
1/3 cup cocoa powder
1 1/4 cup cake flour
3/4 teaspoon baking soda

WHISKEY CARAMEL SAUCE
2 cups sugar
1 tablespoon corn syrup
1/4 cup water
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 1/2 cups sweetened condensed milk
1/2 cup Jack Daniels Whiskey

SPICED PECANS
1/2 cup butter, melted
1/2 cup brown sugar
3/4 teaspoon ground cayenne pepper
2 cups pecans, broken into small pieces

FOR CAKE:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. Place oil, egg, sour cream and buttermilk in bowl of standing mixer
equipped with whip attachment. Add remaining ingredients on top of wet
in mixing bowl.
  3. Start mixing on first (lowest) speed for about 30 seconds, then to second
speed for another 30 seconds, and finally to third speed, mixing for about 3 minutes.
  4. Place 1/4 cup of batter in greased half-cup ramekins. Place ramekins on baking sheet.
  5. Bake 13–15 minutes until tops of cakes crack. Remove from oven and cool on wire rack.

FOR WHISKEY CARAMEL SAUCE:

  1. Combine sugar, corn syrup, water, and lemon juice in stainless-steel saucepan. Cover and cook over medium heat until mixture turns amber color, stirring occasionally.
  2. Reduce heat to low and stir in condensed milk.
  3. Add whiskey and mix until smooth. Keep warm until ready to serve, being
careful not to burn sauce. Can also be prepared 1–2 days in advance and refrigerated. To serve, warm over low heat, adding splash of water to return to sauce consistency.

FOR PECANS:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Place a sheet of parchment paper on baking sheet.
  2. Melt butter in small saucepan over low heat. Stir in brown sugar and cayenne pepper. Once brown sugar thickens, stir in pecans.
  3. Remove from heat and spread mixture on baking sheet. Bake for 8 minutes.
  4. Remove from oven and cool on wire rack. Set aside until ready to serve. Spiced pecans can be stored in airtight container for 3–4 days before serving.

TO SERVE:

  1. Unmold warm cakes from ramekins and place on dessert plates.
  2. Drizzle caramel sauce over and around each cake. Top with spiced nuts.

What to drink: Sip a sparkling sweet Italian red wine with the flavors of fresh raspberries and strawberries.

Cars 3 Extended Look: Get Ready for the “Next Generation”

We won’t get to catch back up with Lightning McQueen (voice of Owen Wilson) for a few months yet, but viewers of this past weekend’s big Daytona 500—and now you, here, via the clip above—can get an extended sneak peek at what’s in store from Disney•Pixar’s Cars 3, crossing the finish line into theaters this summer. Take a gander at the clip, above, for all the fast-paced racetrack action…

Blindsided by a new generation of racers, the legendary Lightning McQueen is suddenly pushed out of the sport he loves. To get back in the game, he’ll need the help of an eager young race technician, Cruz Ramirez (voice of Cristela Alonzo), with her own plan to win… plus inspiration from the late Fabulous Hudson Hornet, and a few unexpected turns. Proving that No. 95 isn’t through yet will test the heart of a champion on Piston Cup Racing’s biggest stage. Look for Cars 3, directed by Brian Fee (storyboard artist for both Cars and Cars 2) on June 16.

Chris Kattan and Witney Carson
While he may be best known for his work on Saturday Night Live, actor Chris Kattan is no stranger to the Disney family––Outside of his role as Bob on The Middle, Chris also voiced King Zongo on Jake and the Never Land Pirates. Here’s hoping he brings some of those A Night at the Roxbury moves to the dance floor.

David Ross with Lindsay Arnold

David Ross and Lindsay Arnold
A two-time World Series Champion, professional baseball player David Ross is used to steep competition, and he’ll be facing it on the dance floor on the upcoming season of Dancing with the Stars. Recently retired, you can now find David on ESPN as a TV Baseball analyst.

Mr. T and Kym Herjavec
Mr. T famously challenged Rocky Balboa to a boxing title in Rocky III, and now this former member of The A Team has his eye on the mirror ball trophy. Nick Viall with Peta Murgatroyd

Nick Viall and Peta Murgatroyd
The current Bachelor is trading roses for rumbas as the next Bachelor-turned-dancer, following in the footsteps of former Bachelor and Dancing with the Stars alumni Chris Soules and Sean Lowe. Nick may have taken four turns on The Bachelorette, Bachelor in Paradise, and now The Bachelor to find love (assuming he has…we won’t know until the show’s finale March 13!), but we’re sure he’ll find his footing on the dance floor with ease.

Normani Kordei with Valentin Chmerkovskiy

Normani Kordei and Valentin Chmerkovskiy
The Fifth Harmony performer goes solo for a chance at the mirror ball trophy—Disney fans may have seen Normani with Fifth Harmony on Radio Disney’s N.B.T. or caught Fifth Harmony’s performance at the Radio Disney Music Awards just last year (they even performed at D23 Expo in 2013!).
