Q: I recently saw Saving Mr. Banks in theaters and I was wondering if there were any actual artifacts in the movie or were they based on [actual] artifacts? When I saw the movie, I noticed posters, pictures of [Walt’s] daughters, and models of characters.

A: Almost everything was duplicated for the film; there were no original artifacts loaned from the Archives. Posters and photographs were new prints that were made. Some Oscars, however, were borrowed from a display at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
