Gillian Apple is trying her best to balance postdivorce parenting and a career when a shopping trip changes her life forever. When she is haggling for a rug in a store stocked with old-world wares, the rug’s design of a man magically comes to life in the form of a genie. The genie is anxious for a new master, but cannot get Gillian to make a wish binding him to her forever.
