Schumacher, Thomas He joined Disney in 1988 to serve as producer of The Rescuers Down Under, and later was executive producer of The Lion King. He served as executive vice president of Feature Animation for several years, and in January 1999 was promoted to president. He left animation to concentrate on Disney stage productions in 2003. He executive produced Beauty and the Beast (2017), The Lion King (2019), and for TV, Freaky Friday (2018).
