Innoventions Pavilion at the center of Future World featuring interactive exhibits and demonstrations of emerging technologies; opened July 1, 1994, replacing Communicore, and closed September 7, 2019. A selection of America’s top companies were invited to display some of their latest gizmos and technologies, with interactive participation by guests. The exhibits continually change to keep the area new and exciting. Walt Disney Imagineering included its own display of virtual reality prototypes. An Innoventions attraction opened at Disneyland, in the former Carousel of Progress building, on July 3, 1998, with grand opening ceremonies on November 10. The Disneyland attraction closed March 31, 2015.
