Geronimi, Clyde (“Gerry”)

Geronimi, Clyde (“Gerry”) (1901-1989) He was hired at Disney in 1931 as an animator on the short cartoons, promoted to director in 1939 and directed the Academy Award winners The Ugly Duckling and Lend a Paw. He was a sequence director on the features from Victory Through Air Power to One Hundred and One Dalmatians, and Supervising Director on Sleeping Beauty. He also directed many of the early television shows. He retired in 1959. He was named a Disney Legend posthumously in 2017.
