KCAL Television station in Los Angeles, Channel 9, acquired by Disney on December 2, 1988. Earlier known as KHJ. The TV station was sold to Young Broadcasting in 1996 per the divestiture order received when Disney purchased Cap Cities/ABC. Young formally took over operation of the station on November 23, 1996.
