Waltz King, The (television) Two-part television show; aired on October 27 and November 3, 1963. Directed by Steve Previn. A look at the life of Johann Strauss, Jr., beginning when, as a boy, he earns his famous father’s displeasure when he tries his hand at composing. But he eventually proves to his father and the world that he is a fine musician.  Stars Kerwin Mathews, Senta Berger, Brian Aherne, Peter Kraus, Fritz Eckhardt. The show was filmed on location in Europe, utilizing some of the continent’s most ornate concert halls. It was released as a feature abroad, and on video in 1986.
