Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge Star Wars-themed land in which guests explore the remote Black Spire Outpost, the largest settlement on the long-forgotten planet Batuu. In this exotic village of secrets, visitors encounter scoundrels, rogues, and smugglers and become active participants in their own adventures—whether flying the Millennium Falcon or joining the Resistance in a climactic battle against the First Order. Opened May 31, 2019, at Disneyland Park, to be followed by an Aug. 29, 2019, opening at Disney’s Hollywood Studios at the Walt Disney World Resort. At its premiere, experiences included Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run, immersive retail shops (including Black Spire Outfitters, Savi’s Workshop – Handbuilt Lightsabers, Droid Depot, Dok-Ondar’s Den of Antiquities, Resistance Supply, First Order Cargo, Creature Stall, and Toydarian Toymaker), and five food and beverage locations (Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo, Kat Saka’s Kettle, Ronto Roasters, Oga’s Cantina, and Milk Stand). Composer John Williams created an all-new suite of themes written especially for the land and its attractions. At a size greater than 14 acres, it is considered the largest and most technologically advanced single-themed expansion in a Disney park.
