Moore, Bob

Moore, Bob (1920-2001) Publicity artist; joined Disney in 1940 in the animation department, but soon moved into the marketing division. He became advertising art director in 1951, a position he held for three decades. He is noted for designing the 1968 U.S. Disney postage stamp (with Paul Wenzel) and the Eagle Sam character for the Los Angeles Summer Olympics, as well as movie posters, and murals for a number of Walt Disney schools. Moore was one of the artists whom Walt Disney authorized to sign his name, and, being an artist, he could copy it quite well. He was named a Disney Legend in 1996.
