Matheison, Bob

Matheison, Bob (1934-2020) Beginning at Disneyland as a sound coordinator in 1960, he was later selected by Walt Disney to manage Disney’s four shows at the New York World’s Fair.  Involved in the early planning of Walt Disney World, he moved to Florida in 1970 as director of Operations.  He became vice president of Operations in 1972, vice president of Magic Kingdom/Epcot in 1984, and executive vice president of Walt Disney World in 1987.  He retired in 1994, and was named a Disney Legend in 1996.
