Hiller and Diller (television) Series which debuted on ABC on September 23, 1997, and ended March 13, 1998. Ted Hiller and Neil Diller are comedy writers who have been best friends and partners for years. In fact, Ted feels he owes his career (and his comfortable lifestyle) to Neil, so he is always there for his partner, no questions asked–a situation his family has learned to accept. Unlike his happily married friend, Neil has neurotic tendencies that drove his wife away, but not before she asked him to care for their two children, a proposition he finds frightening.
