Escapade in Florence (television) Two-part television show; aired on September 30 and October 7, 1962. Directed by Steve Previn. Two teens get involved in intrigue in Florence, Italy, when Tommy Carpenter is given the wrong painting in an art store. A group of criminals try to get it back, causing Tommy to wonder what is so valuable about it. It turns out an art forger is copying valuable paintings and substituting the copy for the original. Tommy and his friend, Annette Aliotto, manage to solve the plot and turn the art thieves into the police. Stars Tommy Kirk, Annette Funicello, Nino Castelnuovo, Ivan Desny.
