Diamonds on Wheels (television) Three-part television show; aired on March 10, 17, and 24, 1974. Directed by Jerome Courtland. Teenagers battle jewel thieves in England, when one of them acquires a car seat, in which the jewels had been hidden, from a junkyard to use in his racing car. The thieves follow the boys during the Hampshire Rally, an endurance race, but with the help of the police, are outwitted. Stars Patrick Allen, Peter Firth, George Sewell, Spencer Banks, Cynthia Lund. The director, Jerome Courtland, earlier starred as Andy Burnett for Disney. Originally released theatrically in England in August 1973.
