Destino (film) Walt Disney and Salvador Dali collaborated on this surrealistic film in 1946, but for a number of reasons it was not completed. Decades later, Roy E. Disney took up the cause, and the film was finally completed in 2003. It premiered at the Annecy International Animated Film Festival in France on June 2, 2003, and theatrically in Los Angeles and New York on December 19, 2003. Directed by Dominique Monfery. The story is by Salvador Dali and John Hench, and the film features the song “Destino,” written by Armando Dominguez and performed by Dora Luz.
