Circarama, U.S.A.

Circarama, U.S.A. Tomorrowland attraction at Disneyland showing a 360° motion picture filmed with a camera invented by Disney technicians; opened on July 17, 1955, sponsored by American Motors. The first film was called A Tour of the West. It featured eleven 16mm projectors, and ran for 12 minutes. In 1960 the motion picture America the Beautiful was substituted, with the process later renamed Circle-Vision 360 in 1967, and in 1984 World Premiere Circle-Vision.
