Buy the Book Book and coffee shop on New York Street at Disney-MGM Studios; opened October 2, 1996. The store was based on the one Ellen worked at on the ABC TV series. Also known as Ellen’s Buy the Book and Disney’s Buy the Book. Formerly The Costume Shop. After the ABC series ended in 1998, the location became The Writer’s Stop.
