E ticket The coveted coupon, first offered in 1959, for the most exciting Disneyland attractions in the Disneyland ticket book. The term “an E ticket ride” entered American slang meaning the ultimate in thrills. Astronaut Sally Ride described her first excursion into space as a “real E ticket ride.” The ticket books were originally introduced in October 1955, containing only A, B, and C tickets. The D ticket was added in 1956, and the E ticket three years later. The ticket books were replaced by passports, good for admission and unlimited use of park attractions, in June 1982.
