Sweeney, Anne Hired by Disney in 1996 to be president of The Disney Channel and executive vice president of Disney/ABC Cable Networks. She was promoted to president, Disney/ABC Cable Networks in 1998 and president, ABC Cable Networks Group/Disney Channel Worldwide in 2000. In 2004 she became co-chairman of Disney Media Networks and president of Disney-ABC Television Group.
