Mouse Club, The With the growth in interest in the collecting of Disneyana, collectors enjoyed getting together to share stories and buy and sell items for their collections. The Mouse Club was the first major club to begin, in 1980, originally run by Ed and Elaine Levin. The primary activity of the Mouse Club was an annual convention held at a hotel in Anaheim in the summer. In 1985, Kim and Julie McEuen led the club to ever larger convention events, until its final one was held in 1993. The Mouse Club, along with other Disneyana groups, was not sponsored by Disney; their logo was a certain mouse unrecognizable because it had a paper bag over its head. The Mouse Club is no longer in operation.
