Jimirro, James P. He joined Disney in 1973 in the Walt Disney Educational Media Company, becoming its executive vice president in 1974. In 1982 he was made executive vice president—telecommunications for Walt Disney Productions, and he spearheaded the establishment of The Disney Channel, serving as its first president.
