Irvine, Dick (1910-1976) He worked as an art director at Disney in the 1940s, then returned in 1953 to head the team of designers, artists, architects, and engineers in planning and developing Disneyland. He headed WED Enterprises and until his retirement in 1973 continued to be in charge of planning and design for all park and World’s Fair projects. See also Richard F. Irvine Riverboat.
