Happiest Celebration on Earth In salute to the 50th anniversary of Disneyland, Disney theme parks around the world united in 2005 to bring guests never-before-seen attractions, entertainment, and activities. Featured additions at Disneyland included a new parade and fireworks extravaganza, Walt Disney’s Parade of Dreams and Remember…Dreams Come True, a new attraction Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters, the relaunch of Space Mountain, and a royal makeover for Sleeping Beauty Castle. In the Opera House is Disneyland: The First 50 Magical Years, an attraction tracing the history of the park. Disney California Adventure received Block Party Bash, a street celebration featuring Disney/Pixar’s most memorable characters. At Walt Disney World Resort, Soarin’, a popular attraction at Disney California Adventure, debuted at Epcot; Tokyo Disneyland’s Cinderellabration! premiered at Magic Kingdom Park; Lights, Motors, Action! Extreme Stunt Show, a popular attraction at Walt Disney Studios Paris, opened to guests at Disney-MGM Studios; and Expedition Everest, a new thrill attraction, opened its icy slopes to guests at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Special events happened at Tokyo Disney Resort and Disneyland Resort Paris.
