Hamad and the Pirates (television) Two-part television show; aired on March 7 and 14, 1971. An orphaned pearl diver, Hamad, who lives in the Persian Gulf, is captured by pirates who have been stealing artifacts. When the Royal Navy approaches, the pirates throw their treasure overboard, and Hamad, who escapes, tries to find it while diving with a friend. The pirates return too soon, but Hamad helps foil them and save the treasure for the Bahrain museum. Narrated by Michael Ansara. Stars Khalik Marshad, Abdullah Masoud, Khalifah Shaheen.
