Fox Family Worldwide Disney completed the acquisition on October 24, 2001, of Fox Family Worldwide, including the Fox Family Channel in the United States and Fox Kids channels worldwide, for $5.2 billion. The channel was renamed the ABC Family Channel. Fox Kids was rebranded as Jetix in 2004.
