Greetings, earthlings… On this day in 1991, an out-of-this-world dining experience called the Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater Restaurant landed at Disney’s Hollywood Studios (then known as Disney-MGM Studios) at Walt Disney World. In the mysterious confines of this quirky culinary theater, Guests dine in convertible automobiles, while viewing trailers, clips, and shorts from fantastic science-fiction moments from decades past. SHRIEK at the “Attack of the 50 Foot Woman,” BEWARE as “Frankenstein Meets the Space Monster,” and be TERRIFIED by “Robot Monster,” all while enjoying aptly named house specialties like “Monster Mash” (turkey Sloppy Joe) and “Tossed in Space” (chef’s salad).
