Pluto's Party

Pluto’s Party Premieres

All Pluto wants for his birthday is to have a piece of his delicious-looking birthday cake in Pluto’s Party, which was released on this day in 1952. Instead, he gets pushed around by his rambunctious guests who also manage to devour all of his cake. When Mickey announces all of the names he mentions Huey, Dewey, and Louie, who happen to be the names of Donald Duck’s nephews, but all the party attendants resemble Mickey’s nephews, Morty and Ferdy, whose names are not mentioned, and were primarily featured in Disney comics. Before we stray, don’t feel sorry for Pluto — he ended up getting a heaping helping of cake from his faithful companion Mickey, who saved him a piece.
