Gary Maggetti, once general manager in Disneyland’s Food and Beverage department, mentioned another interesting fact about the Bayou. “Most guests know that the Blue Bayou restaurant in New Orleans Square is world famous for its perpetual twilight atmosphere inside and home to the Monte Cristo sandwich, but what is lesser known is that the restaurant takes the honor of the most wedding proposals at Disneyland, competing with the Snow White Wishing Well in Fantasyland.”
