Ensconced on the third floor of the legendary Animation Building at The Walt Disney Studios in Burbank, California, the 3-H wing is home to the offices of Walt Disney. Reflecting the creativity and imagination of the visionary who started it all, this inviting artistic hub was painstakingly restored by the Walt Disney Archives in 2015 and has since welcomed hundreds of guests on special guided tours eager to experience Walt’s inner sanctum of creativity.
Now, an elegant merchandise collection—developed in collaboration with the Walt Disney Archives and inspired by both Walt Disney and the handsome space in which he worked—is set to debut at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event presented by Visa®, taking place August 14, 15, and 16, 2026, in Anaheim, California.

Producing a series of specially designed items celebrating both the specifics and the spirit of “3-H” was an adventure in creativity for the team behind these unique treasures, marking a special collaboration between the Walt Disney Archives, The Walt Disney Company Store, and Disney Corporate Creative Resources.
“One of my favorite responsibilities is caring for Walt’s office,” shares Laura Sanchez, manager, Tours & Programs for the Walt Disney Archives. “Each time I walk through this space, I feel like I understand a little more about this extraordinary, creative man. Naturally, some of the items that speak most clearly to Walt are the very things I’d want to have myself. Whether it’s a desire to share his creativity or simply surround myself with the nostalgia of my youth, those objects have a special power.”
Sanchez reveals that the experience of visiting Walt’s offices—offered to D23 Gold Members as part of The Official Walt Disney Studios Walking Tour—itself sparked the concept for the collection.

“Seeing guests stand in the very space where Walt envisioned entire worlds of dreams come true inspired the idea of keepsakes that they could take home—items that symbolize this office suite, represent Walt himself, and become something they can cherish,” she adds.
Elena Cantu, senior manager, Store Operations for The Walt Disney Company Store, agreed. “After touring Walt’s office and talking with Laura about bringing that experience to life in a new way, through a merchandise collection—it felt like such a natural idea,” she says. “As you walk through the space, there are so many pieces you find yourself wanting at home. My team and I would constantly talk about how wonderful it would be to recreate certain looks or objects. Everybody wants to take a little piece of Walt’s office home.”
The collection draws inspiration not only from specific artifacts, but also from the colors, textures, and design motifs found throughout the legendary workspace and The Walt Disney Studios lot itself.

“The challenge became creating items people would genuinely enjoy wearing and using,” Cantu explains. “Pieces like the RSVLTS shirts gave us a perfect canvas because the visual details in Walt’s office lend themselves so naturally to that style. We wanted the collection to feel relevant today while still celebrating the nostalgia and history that Walt’s offices represent.”
To turn this vision into tangible keepsakes, the team collaborated with Jose Velasquez, senior graphic designer with Disney Corporate Creative Resources, who immediately embraced the opportunity.

“I’d worked with the Archives before, but we’d never done a Walt Disney collection like this, so this was a really exciting challenge,” Velasquez says. “As I started developing the style guide, I wanted to find icons and elements that would resonate even with people who don’t know Walt’s office. Band leader Mickey [featured on Walt’s personalized office notepads] was an obvious choice—Mickey and Walt go hand in hand.”

Other highlights include a leather briefcase inspired by Walt’s travel bag—which Sanchez describes as “something I can use every day and feel very comfortable using”—as well as drinking glasses modeled after those in Walt’s office kitchen, engraved with his iconic “WED” initials.
Velasquez points to one particularly playful item.

“We got creative with an idea for a ‘Walt’s chili’ can [a tribute to one of Walt’s favorite comfort foods] which was one of the most fun items in the collection,” he says. “The Mickey featured on the can was based on the Studio Commissary menu artwork of the time, which I was able to research and recreate.”
Woven throughout the collection is a spirit of collaboration, grounded in a deep respect for history and a shared passion for delivering unique and distinctive products for Disney’s most passionate fans.

“What makes this project truly special is the way our teams came together,” Cantu explains. “The Archives welcomed us into their world and shared the history and storytelling that they care for every day. That helped us recognize just how meaningful these objects are… not only for us as employees, but for our fans.”
Drawn from one of the most celebrated creative spaces in Disney history—where Walt dreamed, imagined, and created—these new treasures extend the experience of stepping inside the 3-H wing, allowing fans to take home a tangible connection to the place where countless Disney ideas first took shape.
