D23 Members Get Spooky at D23 Halloween Spell-ebration at The Walt Disney Studios

Grim grinning ghosts came out to socialize at the D23 Halloween Spell-ebration at The Walt Disney Studios on Sunday, October 30!

The afternoon began with thrills and chills while guests checked in and saw the haunting event waiting for them... Members had the Studio Lot to themselves to explore all the spine-chilling activities set up for them.

In the Studios’ Main Theatre, Members enjoyed classic Disney Halloween shorts such as The Skeleton Dance and Trick or Treat; after seeing Huey, Dewey, and Louie get their candy fill, guests grabbed their own trick-or-treat bags courtesy of Disney Movie Club and headed out to collect ghoulish goodies from around the Lot. They were happily surprised to find their fan-favorite sweets such as Butterfinger® and Kinder Joy® and lollipops provided by Loungefly.

Just outside the Main Theater, music was electrifying the Lot—courtesy DJ Clark—while members got ready strut their stuff on the runway at D23’s Halloween Spell-ebration Costume Fashion Show! Not only did the guests have spell-tacular costumes they could share with other fans, but were also able to share their creativity with Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse at a special meet and greet!

While visiting the D23 booth, guests had the opportunity to win several special prizes to help them show off their D23 pride. They were also able to strike their most haunting pose in front of a spooky photo opportunity.

Along with the fun featured at the D23 booth, many other games, lots of entertainment, and photo opportunities were spread around the Lot to get guests in the Halloween spirit. The Loungefly booth was a particularly big hit; guests were offered the chance to win exciting prizes, including mini-backpacks and wallets!

Halloween wouldn’t be complete without a few shopping experiences: Exclusive to this event, D23 Gold Members had the opportunity to purchase our new D23 Merchandise Line! Members were excited to show off their brand-new merchandise to family and friends to get them excited about the line as well. In addition to members being able to pick up their new, previously ordered D23 merchandise, all guests had the opportunity to shop at the Disney Studio Store and Employee Center—where they could find terror-ific gifts to remember their trip to The Walt Disney Studios.

To conclude the evening, guests were able to catch a special scream-inducing theatrical screening of Marvel Studios’ monster-filled masterpiece Werewolf by Night, now streaming on Disney+.
