America Gardens Amphitheater in front of The American Adventure in World Showcase at Epcot, opened October 1, 1982. Ethnic groups often present song and dance presentations tied to the countries of World Showcase. In 1993 it was temporarily remodelled for a Barbie show. Beginning in 1994, the annual Candlelight Processional was presented at holiday time.

Amemiya, Hideo (1944-2001)  He spent 30 years with Disney in the area of hotel management, starting out with the Polynesian Hotel at Walt Disney World in 1971, working on the Tokyo Disneyland project, and ending his career as senior vice president of Disneyland Resort Hotels. He was named a Disney Legend in 2005.
