Not so long ago at a Comic-Con rather close by… Star Wars: The Clone Wars fans rejoiced at an out-of-this-galaxy announcement.
Today, fans gathered at San Diego Comic-Con for the 10th anniversary celebration of the animated series chronicling the adventures of Anakin Skywalker and his apprentice, Ahoska Tano, during the era between Star Wars: Attack of the Clones and Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith. Dave Filoni announced at the panel that the Emmy®-winning series will receive a new season on Disney’s upcoming direct-to-consumer streaming service. The new season’s poster and trailer debuted at the panel today.
Created by George Lucas, Star Wars: The Clone Wars first debuted in 2008 and captured the hearts of Star Wars fans everywhere with its complex storytelling, lovable new characters (Who knew they could make an army of clones so unique?), and unique animation style. The series initially concluded with a fifth season and some additional episodes released as “The Lost Missions,” but fans wanted to know more about what would happen to the characters they have come to adore. We can’t wait to see what see what this new chapter in the Star Wars saga will bring.
