Pluto in Sheep Dog

Sheep Dog is Released

Here’s a This Day in Disney you can sink your teeth into. It’s the return of the perpetually hungry coyote Bent-Tail in the Pluto cartoon short Sheep Dog, released on this day in 1949. Bent-Tail first attempted to capture Pluto’s guarded sheep in the 1945 film The Legend of Coyote Rock, the first of four cartoon short appearances. In this go-round, he is joined by his son, Junior, who Bent-Tail helps to imagine just how tasty the sheep must be, and once again Pluto has his work cut out for him in this wild and “wooly” tale.
