Just in time for the spookiest of seasons comes Coven Academy, premiering October 1 on Freeform and streaming next day on Disney+ and Hulu. Set in the haunted heart of New Orleans, the 21-chapter series—executive produced by High School Musical: The Musical: The Series’ Tim Federle—follows three teenage witches and their dangerously charming warlock peers at an elite magic school where power is currency; secrets are lethal; and attraction is a liability.
Caught between ancient supernatural wars and forbidden love interests, the coven must decide how far they’re willing to go to protect their city… and themselves.

Briar (Malina Weissman)
Briar is a sharp, sarcastic New Yorker who lands at the New Orleans boarding school for the magically gifted with her walls already up. She’s quietly grieving the loss of her mother—and now she has to navigate new powers, new classmates, and the unsettling possibility that letting people in might not destroy her.
Miss Graves (Tiffani Thiessen)
The glamorous, high-principled head of school, Graves is a former student who walks the halls with secrets of her own. Strong, confident, and not afraid of going toe-to-toe with her enemies, she’s dedicated her life to preparing her students for the battles ahead.
Jake (Malachi Barton)
Jake is a beguiling warlock student who begins to dabble with dark magic as a way to come to terms with his complicated past. Intrigued by Briar, the new girl in school, he’s drawn towards dangerous situations… including a love triangle.

Newly turned reluctant vampire passing as the magnetic boy next door, Ollie finds himself caught between his growing feelings for Briar and the expectations of his new vampire family.
Tegan (Ora Duplass)
Tegan is a bubbly yet grounded time-bending witch with genuine vulnerability. Her ADHD manifests as both her greatest challenge and the source of her powers. Endearingly goofy, enthusiastically loyal, and braver than she knows. She’ll do anything for her friends.
Sasha (Jordan Leftwich)

Mr. Cole (Devon Sawa)
Mr. Cole is the effortlessly cool teacher who’s tired of watching teenagers mistake raw talent for readiness. A good man and a brilliant warlock, he’s not afraid to put you in your place to protect you.
