Last night was a galactic-sized celebration of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, featuring the dedication of Disneyland’s monumental new land with the help of some familiar (and beloved) faces. Joining Disney Chairman and CEO Bob Iger were some of the folks who put the “star” in Star Wars: George Lucas, Mark Hamill, Harrison Ford, and Billy Dee Williams. Plus, we got some extra help from Chewbacca to bring the Millennium Falcon to life before a stunning fireworks display illuminated the out-of-this-world celebration.

Can’t wait to visit Batuu yourself? Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge opens to the public at Disneyland Resort on May 31 and at Walt Disney World Resort on Aug. 29. Reservation and valid theme park admission required to visited Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge between May 31 and June 23, 2019. Beginning June 24, no reservations are required, subject to capacity.
