Big Hero 6 The Series

Fist Bump! Big Hero 6 The Series is Already Renewed for a Second Season

By Nicole Nalty

We won’t be reunited with our favorite band of misfit heroes in Disney XD’s upcoming show Big Hero 6 The Series until this fall, but we already have something else to look forward to––yep, Big Hero 6 The Series has been picked up for a second season! On a scale of 1–10, we’re rating our excitement at a strong 20. As you can see in the video below, the cast is pretty excited, too:

All of your favorite characters are back for the animated series, based on Walt Disney Animation Studios’ Academy Award®-winning feature film (which was inspired by the Marvel comics of the same name): Maya Rudolph as Aunt Cass, Jamie Chung as Go Go, Scott Adsit as Baymax, Ryan Potter as Hiro, Genesis Rodriguez as Honey Lemon, Khary Payton as Wasabi, Brooks Wheelan as Fred, Alan Tudyk as Alistair Krei, David Shaughnessy as Heathcliff and, of course, Marvel Comics legend Stan Lee as Fred’s dad. The show will pick up right where we left off in the 2014 film, following Hiro and Baymax’s adventures with the rest of team Big Hero 6 as they fight off a variety of “scientifically enhanced villains.” Sounds like some high-tech terror! Plus, Hiro will face his own challenges as he attends San Fransokyo Institute of Technology as their new prodigy. That’s a lot of pressure for a 14-year-old, even if he is a tech genius.

Stay tuned for more Big Hero 6 The Series updates and Disney news––Bah-a-la-la-la!
