Before It Was a Tale as Old as Time

Screening of the storied Beauty & The Beast Work-in-Progress Film, with Disney Legends Paige O'Hara, Don Hahn, and Mark Henn in The Main Theater on the Lot

On the night of September 29, 1991, the lights went down at Lincoln Center, and a New York Film Festival audience saw something no audience had seen before. They watched a work-in-progress screening of Disney Animation's Beauty and the Beast. Only 70% of the film was in color; the rest was a mosaic of rough pencil animation, storyboard sketches, and visual development paintings standing in for scenes still being completed back in Burbank.

Disney Legends Paige O'Hara, Don Hahn, and Mark Henn take you on an emotional roller coaster from that incredible night in film history. Then, for one night, that version returns to the big screen at the Disney Studio Theatre where the film was originally created.

See Disney Animation's Beauty and the Beast the way its first audience did: unfinished, unpolished, and already unforgettable.

This ticket includes

  • An incredibly rare chance to see the “Work-in-Progress” version of Disney Animation's Beauty and the Beast on the big screen, as seen at the New York Film Festival in 1991.
  • Before the film, join a storytelling discussion with Disney Legends Paige O'Hara, Don Hahn, and Mark Henn.
  • Exclusive Beauty & The Beast 35th Anniversary Pin
  • Access to Jolly Holiday on the Lot and all Jolly Holiday giveaway items
