D23 continues the celebration of Walt Disney: 125 Years of Inspiration—celebrating the 125th birthday of Walt Disney and his legacy—by returning to Walt’s boyhood home in Marceline, MO! This fan-favorite event filled with Disney history is returning September 18-19, 2026, but with some new magic added and surprises along the way! Join us for “D23 Marceline Magic,” with our special event host Disney Legend Bill Farmer accompanying guests on the journey!
Kick off the event in Marceline’s sister city, Chillicothe, MO (the home of sliced bread!), with a hosted Sweets & Sips evening welcome reception on September 18. The next day, September 19, guests will ride together to Marceline, MO, for a full day of exploring and storytelling at more stops throughout the city than ever before. Each stop is one that has a meaningful connection to Walt—either a source of inspiration for his own creative endeavors, or a place celebrating his legacy. With 25 stops total, highlights include visiting the Walt Disney Hometown Museum celebrating its 25th anniversary; the Walt Disney Post Office; Walt Disney Elementary School; Santa Fe Museum; and more! At the end of the day, you’ll also have a uniquely Marceline commemorative gift representing each of the 25 stops.
Finish the evening at the Walt Disney Family Farm where Walt grew up. There, you’ll hear a conversation with Disney Legend Bill Farmer and enjoy live entertainment, food, drinks, and a “kiss goodnight” fireworks show!
Please note:
Check-in for the event, along with transportation to and from Marceline, will take place in Chillicothe, MO. Special hotel rates will be available to guests who have purchased tickets to this event. More details on booking will be made available in your ticket purchase confirmation email. (The cost of a ticket does not include hotel stay.)
D23 Marceline Magic Event Itinerary & Ticket Inclusions:
- Friday: September 18:
- Sweets & Sips evening welcome reception at the Chillicothe Convention & Visitors Bureau (Marceline’s sister city).
- Complimentary welcome bag with a dining guide and coupons.
- During the day, Chillicothe Trolley Tours to various stops around the city will be available—picking up and dropping off all afternoon from the Fairfield Inn & Suites.
*Note: A Chillicothe welcome ambassador will be available to answer visitor questions in the lobby of the Fairfield Inn & Suites.
- Saturday, September 19:
- Transportation to Marceline from Chillicothe, MO. During your ride to Marceline, you’ll receive detailed information about the event and the 25 stops you’ll want to make during your day.
- Note: Guests are required to check in for the event in Chillicothe in the evening on 9/18. There will be no check-in available or welcome packets given on 9/19 in Marceline.
- Explore the city of Marceline by visiting 25 different locations that have meaningful Walt Disney connections, including places celebrating his legacy and locations Walt himself visited and drew inspiration from! At each stop, guests will receive a piece of their souvenir gift; once all 25 items are collected, guests can place them together for a uniquely Marceline commemorative gift representing the city of Marceline and Walt’s boyhood there. Some of the event stops include:

- Marceline’s Main Street (which served as inspiration to Disneyland Park’s Main Street, U.S.A.!)

ABOUT MARCELINE
Marceline is the hometown of Walt Disney, where he spent a great deal of his childhood years, from 1906 to 1911. Main Street, U.S.A. at the Disney theme parks is inspired by downtown Marceline. A walk down this original Main Street, U.S.A. gives visitors the same feeling that Walt experienced as a boy. The beauty of Marceline is further enhanced by its small-town, friendly, and casual atmosphere. Located in North Central Missouri, we’re 3 miles south of US36 and halfway between St. Joseph and Hannibal. Marceline’s Santa Fe depot houses the Walt Disney Hometown Museum.
ABOUT THE DISNEY FAMILY FARM
The Disney family moved to this farm in Marceline in 1906. It was on this very land that a young Walt Disney would say he found the magic of his life. Too young to be responsible for any major farm work, Walt and his younger sister Ruth found a deep connection to the magic of this farmland. On this farm, Walt held his first live show, developed his love for nature, and had a special place under his Dreaming Tree.
Ticketing Terms and Conditions:
- D23 Gold Members may reserve a ticket for themselves and up to one (1) guest for this event.
- Each attendee, including the D23 Member and their guest, must possess a valid, individual event ticket to be admitted.
- Ticket quantities are limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.
- To reserve tickets, D23 Members must log in using their valid D23 Member account credentials and assign a legal first and last name for each ticket.
- Tickets are non-transferable and must be used by the individual(s) named at the time of purchase. D23 Members and their guest over the age of 18 may be required to show a valid government-issued ID matching the name on their ticket.
- The cost of a ticket does not include hotel stay.
- Check-in for the event, along with transportation to-and-from Marceline, will take place in Chillicothe, MO. A special hotel rate will be available to guests who have purchased tickets to this event. More details will be included in the ticket purchase confirmation email.
Age Requirements:
- All guests under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian, who must also possess a valid event ticket.
- While there is no age restriction, due to the historic nature and walking involved in the event, it is recommended for older children and adults.
Entry Requirements:
- All D23 Members must present a valid D23 Membership card (physical or digital via the D23 App) along with a valid event ticket at check-in.
- D23 Members and each of their guests over the age of 18 may be required to show a valid government-issued ID matching the name on their ticket.
- Failure to present a valid membership card, a corresponding ticket, and a valid government-issued ID matching the name on their ticket may result in denial of admission without refund or further obligation by D23.
Event Conduct and Restrictions:
- Unauthorized video or audio recording of any kind during the presentation and/or screening is strictly prohibited.
- D23 reserves the right to deny admission or remove any individual who fails to comply with event rules, disrupts the event, or violates the terms and conditions of participation.
- To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience, all D23 Members and guests attending this D23 event are expected to adhere to the stated Disney rules (as applicable, and, including without limitation, with respect to Guest Courtesy Policies) found here.
- Guests who are age 21+ are required to present valid government-issued photo IDs to consume alcoholic beverages.
Any ticketed Members or their guests who do not personally attend the event, forfeit their place, as well as all experiences, benefits, and gifts associated with the event. D23 Members must be present or guests will not gain admittance to the event.
All D23 events are subject to change without notice. All ticket sales are final. There are strictly no cancellations or refunds regardless of reason (including, without limitation, due to illness, change in travel plans, etc.) and tickets are not transferable.
