Seattle area D23 members were in for aspecial treat on Saturday, May 19, when Ashley Eckstein came to town for a D23 Gold Member exclusive event. Members started out at the Disney store in Bellevue, where, upon checking in, they received Ashley’s new book, It’s Your Universe, and had the chance to get their copy signed. Guests also received a D23-exclusive gift created just for this event—a poster featuring artwork from the book. And, to top it off, Ashley Taylor, the book’s illustrator, was on hand to sign the piece! Members then enjoyed private shopping time inside the Disney store and a special discount for the day.
Next, everyone made their way over to breakfast, where they enjoyed a Southern-style buffet, a talk with both Ashleys, and time to ask questions. The morning ended with a photo opportunity and lots of hugs from our guest of honor! Ashley loved getting to meet so many D23 members and really enjoyed spending some extra time with our younger fans, who asked her lots of questions about her career.
