On Friday, September 2, at Hollywood’s legendary El Capitan Theatre, D23 kicked off the annual Fanniversary celebration and commemorated 25 years of Beauty and the Beast. The event included surprise visits from some of the talent behind the film and photo locations, culminating in a complimentary screening of the animated masterpiece—complete with popcorn and beverage!
The evening began with a special introduction from Don Hahn, producer of Beauty and the Beast. He expressed his great appreciation for the fan community that has carried the film’s legacy since 1991, and shared how thrilled he was to see the movie again on the big screen.
Guests were then surprised with a visit from Jo Anne Worley—the voice of the Wardrobe!—who talked about what it was like to work on the film and shared a few of her favorite Disney memories from throughout the past 25 years.
With popcorn and drinks in hand, D23 Members enjoyed returning to this “tale as old as time” on the big screen in Hollywood, California.
