Members of D23: The Official Disney Fan Club had the chance to join Charles, Oliver, and Mabel as they left the hustle and bustle of New York City for sunny Los Angeles. The special event, hosted by Hulu at the historic El Capitan Theatre in the heart of Hollywood, featured an advance screening of the highly anticipated first episode of Season 4 of Only Murders in the Building.

Much like the show, the event was filled with surprises and delights around every corner! As fans entered the venue, they were given a raffle ticket to keep. Later in the evening, lucky fans were chosen to receive vinyl records of the original score from all three seasons of the hit show, courtesy of Disney Music Emporium.

Excitement filled the El Capitan Theatre lobby as fans received their complimentary drinks and popcorn in Only Murders in the Building-themed boxes.

Fans also got to snap pictures with two photo ops, each featuring the show’s iconic trio.

Inside the theater, anticipation was high. The resident El Capitan Theatre organist, Rob Richards, played a variety of beloved Disney tunes that culminated in the Only Murders in the Building theme. Then, the curtain for show began to rise, until there was a disruption! The stars of Only Murders in the Building, Steve Martin (Charles), Martin Short (Oliver), and Selena Gomez (Mabel), shocked D23 Members as they came onstage and shared remarks and gratitude for the show’s fans before the screening began.

When the Season 4 premiere episode concluded, the theater erupted in applause. The audience was captivated by the first episode. On the way out, guests received an Only Murders in the Building pin from Hulu and “Mabel Mora’s Go-To Duo,” which included a tinted lip oil and dewy liquid blush, from Rare Beauty by Selena Gomez.
