Art Corner, The

Art Corner, The Shop located in Tomorrowland at Disneyland beginning September 4, 1955 that sold Disney animation art. In 1955 a cel from a recent Disney film cost two or three dollars; think what it would bring on the market today! The shop closed on September 5, 1966.

Armstrong, Louis

Armstrong, Louis (1900-1971) Trumpet virtuoso, first performed at Disneyland for the second Dixieland at Disneyland on September 30, 1961, and then returned in 1962 and 1964 through 1967. He also appeared on the television show Disneyland After Dark. In 1968, Buena Vista Records released an album: “Louis Armstrong—Disney Songs the Satchmo Way.”
