Giantland (film) Mickey Mouse cartoon; released on November 25, 1933. Directed by Burt Gillett. Mickey tells his nephews a loose version of “Jack and the Beanstalk” in which he climbs the beanstalk and meets a formidable giant. Mickey only manages to escape with the aid of pepper and burning the beanstalk, which sends the giant hurtling toward the ground and on through to China. A forerunner to the Mickey and the Beanstalk segment of Fun and Fancy Free.
