Macdonald, Jim (“Jimmy”)
Macdonald, Jim (“Jimmy”) (1906-1991) Longtime Disney sound-effects wizard, who created sound effects for many of the Disney films beginning in 1934. In 1946, he was asked by Walt to take over the voice of Mickey Mouse, a chore he provided until his retirement three decades later. He was named a Disney Legend in 1993.
