Planet Hollywood 400-seat spherical entertainment restaurant, featuring displays of movie memorabilia, at Pleasure Island at Walt Disney World, opened Dec. 18, 1994, at Pleasure Island at Walt Disney World and later reimagined as the Planet Hollywood Observatory, reopening on Jan. 27, 2017 at Disney Springs. A Planet Hollywood Superstore operated on Sunset Boulevard in Disney’s Hollywood Studios at Walt Disney World from Jun. 26, 1997 until Feb. 2, 2019.
