Kilimanjaro Safaris Attraction at Disney’s Animal Kingdom at Walt Disney World. Guests board open-sided safari vehicles at the modern-day town of Harambe for an exciting exploration of more than 100 acres of savanna, forest, rivers, and rocky hills. There are up-close encounters with great herds of animals roaming the land, and there is even some adventure as the safari vehicle surprises a band of elephant poachers and gives chase. The vehicles seat 32 guests and are environmentally safe with propane-fueled engines. A nighttime safari was added May 27, 2016, offering a look at nocturnal animal behaviors.
