Chef Mickey’s Restaurant at the Disney Village Marketplace at Walt Disney World; opened in July 1990. Formerly The Village Restaurant. It closed on September 30, 1995, and after extensive remodeling, reopened in 1996 as the Rainforest Cafe. Also a restaurant in the Contemporary Resort, opening December 22, 1995, and taking the place of the Contemporary Café. A similarly named buffet restaurant, Chef Mickey, opened September 12, 2005, in Disney’s Hollywood Hotel at the Hong Kong Disneyland Resort.
