Briar Patch, The Shop in Critter Country at Disneyland, opened in December 1988. Formerly Indian Trading Post. One of the unique architectural details is the presence of huge carrots, seemingly growing through the grass roof. In 2004 it became a hat shop. In 1986, a Brier Patch [sic] shop opened in Frontierland at the Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World, offering wooden crafts and baskets; a more elaborate Briar Patch store opened at the exit of Splash Mountain on Dec. 16, 1991, replacing the original store, which was removed.
