This morning, a massive expansion project was announced for Tokyo DisneySea, including the development of a brand-new themed port and a new, fantasy-themed Disney hotel. Tokyo DisneySea serves as a hub to many different enchanting ports, and will now feature a brand-new eighth area inspired by a magical spring that leads guests to a world of Disney fantasy. This port will bring together the worlds of Frozen, Tangled, and Peter Pan, with four new attractions created just for the expansion. Here’s what you can expect in this new, magical expansion to the beloved theme park:
Welcome to Arendelle
A key part of the brand-new port is an area themed to Arendelle, the kingdom that Anna and Elsa call home. Set after the events of Frozen, guests can freely visit Arendelle and enjoy a heartwarming boat ride attraction that shares the story of the sisters, along with many fan-favorite songs from the film. In addition to the attraction, guests will be able to dine in a new restaurant set inside Arendelle castle itself!
Best. Day. Ever!
Guests will have the opportunity to visit the charming forest where Rapunzel makes her home. This area will feature a boat ride attraction that follows Rapunzel to the lantern festival, which turns out to be Rapunzel’s “best day ever” (and will surely be your best day ever, too). Guests can also expect to meet the silly thugs with big dreams inside a new restaurant inspired by Tangled.
Off to Never Land!
Think of a wonderful thought… like this new section of the port featuring Captain Hook’s pirate ship and Skull Rock. Along with these amazing new landmarks, guests will get to fly over Never Land in a brand-new attraction that takes guests on an adventure along with Peter, Wendy, the Lost Boys, and more. If you need a little more pixie dust in your day, there will also be an immersive Pixie Hollow-themed attraction where you can meet Tinker Bell and her fairy friends!
